Clarke welcomed in as Lord Chancellor
DRESSED in full ceremonial robes, Kenneth Clarke was welcomed by the country's judiciary yesterday as the Lord Chancellor.
Mr Clarke, a lawyer himself, said he was "honoured" to hold the office. He said: "I have very strong views about the independence of the judiciary and legal profession."
