A MAN has died after being struck by a train on a Highland railway line.

The emergency services were called to a rail crossing at Inverlochy, near Fort William in Lochaber, at about 8am.

Police are not treating the death of the man, who has not yet been named, as suspicious.

Services on the line between Fort William and Crianlarich were disrupted as investigations were carried out.
