Students are unlikely voters

A THIRD of Edinburgh's students are unlikely to vote in the coming general election, a survey has shown.

A study found that those studying in the Capital are largely indifferent to the main political parties, with more than one in ten unable to identify any differences between them or unsure what they stand for.

The survey, carried out by student accommodation provider UNITE, found that 32 per cent of city students would not be voting or were "highly unlikely" to.
