Quiet confusion

People on a packed Mound (a great vantage point) enjoyed the spectacle of the Edinburgh Festival Fireworks on Sunday night, but sadly more or less in silence and not really knowing what was going on. Many of us felt we had been robbed of part of the experience by not being able to hear the music.

I know the idea is to sell tickets in the gardens, but I still feel that to stretch one more speaker cable up the Mound in future would not be a big deal, and would encourage more people to enjoy to the full this finale to the “greatest show on earth”.
