Edinburgh-bound flight declares emergency
A flight from Venice to Edinburgh has declared an emergency as it passes over northern England.
The Jet2 flight LS854 squawked 7700 - a code when air traffic control facilities in the area are immediately alerted that the aircraft has an emergency situation - shortly after 2pm.
The flight, which was due to land at 2.25pm, is still set to arrive on time, according to the Flightradar24.com live air traffic website.
The reason for the emergency is not known.
