Cell visitors keep posts

TWO custody visitors who check on the wellbeing of prisoners being kept in police station cells are set to be re-appointed to their duties.

Judy Cavaroli and Hazel Paxton will be re-appointed by the police board to continue with their work until March 2014.

Meanwhile, fellow custody visitor John Webster has decided to step down. He will be replaced by Janet Clark.

Most custody visits are carried out at St Leonard's, Livingston and Dalkeith.
