Album review: Madeleine Peyroux, Standing On The Rooftop

I'm loath to say it, but I was a bit disappointed by this, the third album by the wonderfully sultry singer since her chart-topping Careless Love in 2004.
The last one, Bare Bones, was a treasure.
This album features a change of producer and a rootsier feel, but the results are largely undistinguished and samey - apart from a couple of funky, stand-out blues.
